Jane supports the people impacted by the CTS contamination site and will advocate for environmental policy that protects other communities from ground water contamination. For instance, unlike her opponent, Jane would have voted against opening the door to fracking in N.C. Jane would have also voted against rolling back state policy that now allows excessive clear-cutting of trees in front of billboards. Jane also supports decreasing greenhouse gases and increasing clean, renewable energy.

Conserving farms and land in our pristine mountains is critical to maintaining our health and quality of life. In addition, a comprehensive regional land use plan would help balance growth and development while recognizing the limits of our infrastructure due to our mountainous terrain.
